32. Contributory period (1) Subject to subsection (2), the contributory period of a contributor shall be the aggregate of— (a) the number of completed months of his contributory service in respect of which he has made contributions to the Fund, or to the Scheme under section 16; and (b) the number of completed months, if any, in his non-contributory period in respect of which he has elected to pay an adjustment contribution under section 19 (1) (a). (2) (a) Where a contributor has failed to pay, or the Board has forgone payment under section 24 of, any part of the adjustment contribution payable by the contributor under section 21 (1), no account shall be taken of the number of months in respect of which the adjustment contribution has not been paid. (b) For the purposes of paragraph (a), any part of a month in respect of which an adjustment contribution has not been paid shall be reckoned as one month.
