17. (1) The penalties which may be imposed on an officer against whom a
disciplinary charge has been established are—
(a) dismissal;
(b) reduction in rank;
(c) stoppage or deferment of increments;
(d) a reprimand.
(2) An officer who is absent from Mauritius without permission shall be
liable to summary dismissal.
