294. Census form—The Court refused to entertain a suit requiring it to declare that the Census Regulations 2000 were unconstitutional on the ground
that persons were not required to declare in the census form the community
to which they belonged.
HELD since the First Schedule to the Constitution provided that “appropriate community” fell to be decided according to the results of the 1972
census, there was no ground for intervention. Joomun v Government of
