Section 12: Ecological information

12. Ecological information (1) Give an assessment of the possible effects, behaviour and environmental fate of the substance or preparation. (2) Describe the most important characteristics likely to have an effect on the environment owing to the nature of the substance or preparation and likely methods of use— (a) ecotoxicity (aquatic and terrestrial, where available); (b) persistence and degradability; (c) bioaccumulative potential; (d) mobility in soil; (e) other adverse effects. Remarks Pending criteria for the evaluation of the environmental impact of a preparation, information relating to the above properties shall be given for substances classified as dangerous for the environment which are present in the preparation.
