3. Composition/information on ingredients
(1) The following information shall be given to enable the recipient to identify readily the substance—
(a) chemical identity;
(b) common name, synonyms, etc.;
(c) CAS number, EC number, etc.;
(d) impurities and stabilising additives which are themselves classified
and which contribute to the classification of the substance.
(2) In case of a mixture it is necessary to give the chemical identity and
concentration or concentration ranges of all ingredients which are hazardous
within the meaning of the Globally Harmonised System and are present above
their cut-off levels.
(3) Where information on certain ingredients is to be kept confidential, their
chemical nature shall be described in order to ensure the health and safety of
workers or consumers, or the protection of the environment.
(4) (a) Confidential business information (CBI) shall be disclosed to the
Board and to Health and Safety professionals in emergencies.
(b) Confidential business information shall be protected in accordance with national law and practice.
