55. Regulations (1) The Minister may, for the purposes of this Act, after consultation with the Commissioner, make such regulations as he thinks fit. (2) Any regulations made under subsection (1) may provide – (a) for the amendment of the Schedule; 514 Acts 2017 Acts 2017 515 (b) for the requirements which are imposed on a controller or processor when processing personal data; (c) for the contents which a notice or registration by a controller or processor should contain; (d) for the information to be provided to a data subject and how such information shall be provided; (e) for the levying of fees and taking of charges; (f) for the issuing and approval of Codes of Practice and Guidelines; or (g) that any person who contravenes them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 100, 000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years.
