Section 15B: Horse Racing Committee

15B. Horse Racing Committee (1) The Horse Racing Division shall be administered and managed by a Horse Racing Committee which shall be appointed by the Board on such terms and conditions as the Board may determine. (3) At a meeting of the Horse Racing Committee, where – (a) the chairperson is absent or unable to discharge his functions for any reason, the vice-chairperson shall chair that meeting; 314 Acts 2021 (b) the chairperson and vice-chairperson are absent or unable to discharge their functions for any reason, the other members of the Horse Racing Committee shall elect another member to chair that meeting. (4) No person shall be appointed as a member of the Horse Racing Committee where that person had, 3 years before his appointment, any direct or indirect interest in an activity regulated under this Act (5) Every member of the Horse Racing Committee shall be paid such fees as the Board may determine.
