45. Betting on sporting events taking place
outside Mauritius
(ii) by deleting the words “football matches” wherever
they appear and replacing them by the words
“sporting events”;
(ac) in section 46 –
(i) in subsection (3), in paragraph (a), by deleting the
words “one place to another” and replacing them by the
words “one place to another and, for that purpose, make
an application and pay the non-refundable processing
fee specified in Part I of the Sixth Schedule”;

(ii) in subsection (4), by deleting the words “3 terminals,
out of which one” and replacing them by the words
“5 terminals, out of which at least one”;
(ad) in section 53, by repealing subsection (2) and replacing it by
the following subsection –
(2) The Board may, on an application made,
issue to the applicant a licence authorising him to –
(a) carry on the business of a local pool
promoter or an agent of a foreign
pool promoter, as the case may be;
(b) conduct pool betting activities
through remote communication on
approved sporting events outside
Mauritius and feed providers
against payment of a licence fee per
event.
(ae) in section 91 –
(i) by repealing subsection (2) and replacing it by the
following subsection –
(2) No interactive gambling licence shall be
issued unless –
(a) the applicant is a company
incorporated in Mauritius; and
(b) the appropriate licence fee specified
in Third Schedule is paid to the
Authority.
(ii) by inserting, after subsection (2), the following new
subsection –
(2A) An application for the issue of an
interactive gambling licence shall be made in such
form and manner as the Board may approve and shall
be accompanied by the non-refundable processing fee
specified in Part IA of the Sixth Schedule.

(iii) by repealing subsection (4) and replacing it by the
following subsection –
(4) The Board may issue such directives and
guidelines under this Act for the conduct of interactive
gambling operation in Mauritius.
(iv) in subsection (5) –
(A) by deleting the words “Any regulations” and
replacing them by the words “Any directives”;
(B) by repealing paragraph (d), the word “and” at the
end of paragraph (c) being added;
(af) in section 94 –
(i) in subsection (1), by deleting the words “as the Board
may determine” and replacing them by the words
“as the Board may approve and shall be accompanied
by the non-refundable processing fee specified in
Part I of the Sixth Schedule”;
(ii) in subsection (1B), by deleting the words “30 days”
and replacing them by the words “45 days”;
(iii) by adding the following new subsection –
(3) The Authority shall, within 28 days from
the date of receipt of a full and complete application,
notify the applicant of the outcome of his application.
(ag) by repealing section 94A and replacing it by the following
section –
