Section 46: Conduct of betting operations

46. Conduct of betting operations (1) Every bookmaker shall conduct his betting operations in accordance with the rules of fixed odds betting approved by the Board. (2) The Board may authorise a bookmaker to accept deposits from members of the public for the purpose of placing bets with him on such terms and conditions as may be approved by the Board. (3) Every bookmaker who operates at a place outside the racecourse shall— (a) seek prior approval of the Board for the transfer of his place of operation from one place to another; or (b) at the request of the Board, move or transfer his place of operation from one place to another place or close down his place of operation.
