Section 66: Grant or refusal of registration certificate

66. Grant or refusal of registration certificate (1) The Board may grant a registration certificate subject to such terms and conditions as it may determine. (2) No registration certificate shall be granted unless the Board is satisfied that the person is a fit and proper person to sell lottery game tickets. (3) No registration certificate shall be granted to a person— (a) who is under the age of 21; G2 – 33 [Issue 7] Revised Laws of Mauritius (b) who has, within the 10 years preceding the date of application, been convicted of any offence involving fraud or dishonesty, or is a body corporate of which any director, manager or officer has been so convicted; or (c) who was the holder of a registration certificate which has been cancelled.
