39. Dilatory motions
(1) Any motion made during a debate for the purpose of postponing to
some future occasion the further discussion of a question which has been proposed from the Chair shall be known as a dilatory motion.

(2) The debate on a dilatory motion shall be confined to the matter of such
motion and no Member, having moved or seconded such a motion, may move or
second any similar motion until a new question has been proposed from the
Chair.
(3) Where the Chairperson considers such dilatory motion to be an abuse of
the rules of the Assembly, he may decline to propose it.
(4) No amendment shall be made to a motion for the adjournment of the
Assembly or of a debate.
(5) A Member who has spoken to a main question shall not be entitled to
move a dilatory motion.
