4. Choice of site for land granted The planter, miller or service provider or any other relevant company undertaking a VRS or an ERS shall, in respect of the land granted by way of compensation— (a) agree with the employees on the site or sites; (b) undertake the necessary infrastructural works for the division of plots under reference, namely roads, drains, electricity and water supply; (c) provide social amenities as are agreed with the workers; and (d) undertake to carry out the maintenance of the roads and drains of the new housing estates and the refuse collection at its own cost for a period of 3 years from the date on which the portions of land are allocated to their recipients or until such time as the local authorities take over these responsibilities, whichever the earlier.
