44. Where under these regulations—
(a) it is necessary either—
(i) to serve any notice, charge or other document upon a
member of a Disciplined Force; or
(ii) to communicate any information to any such member who
has absented himself from duty; and
(b) it is not possible to effect such service upon or communicate the
information to that member personally,
it shall be sufficient if the notice, charge or other document, or a letter containing the information, is sent by registered post addressed to his usual or
last known address.
