41. Closure
(1) After a question has been proposed, a Member may move “that the
question be now put”.
(2) Unless the Chairperson considers the motion to be an abuse of the rules
of the Assembly or an infringement of the rights of the minority, the question
“That the question be now put” shall be put forthwith and decided without
amendment or debate.
(3) When the motion “that the question be now put” has been carried and
the question consequent thereon has been decided, any Member may claim that
any other question already proposed from the Chair “be now put”, and if the
Chair assents, such question shall be put forthwith and decided without amendment or debate.
