10. (1) A member, other than the President or Vice-president of the Tribunal or
the Chairperson or Vice-chairperson of the Board—
(a) shall be appointed from among persons with proven experience in the
field of human resource management, employment relations, labour
economics, industry, commerce and finance; and
(b) shall hold and vacate office in accordance with the terms of his letter
of appointment.
(2) A person shall not be qualified to be appointed as a member—
(a) where he is a member of, or a candidate for election to, the National
Assembly or any local authority; or
(b) in the case of the Tribunal established under section 85 or the Commission established under section 87, where he is a public officer, a
local government officer or an officer of a trade union.
(3) Previous membership shall not affect eligibility for re-appointment.
