58. Differences in the conditions of employment and status of different
categories of workers and in the facilities available to them shall be based on the
requirements of the job. The aim shall be to reduce progressively and remove
ultimately differences which are not so based. Management, workers and trade
unions shall co-operate in working towards this objective.
