137. Unlicensed sweepstakes and lotteries
Any person who, not being licensed to organise a sweepstake or a lottery—
(a) prints, publishes or causes to be printed or published any ticket
for or advertisement or notice relating to a sweepstake or a
lottery;
(b) sells or offers for sale, any ticket or chance in a sweepstake or
lottery; or
(c) organises or takes part in the organisation of a sweepstake or a
lottery,
shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 500,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2
years.
