Send this before, or alongside, going to the Ministry of Labour. It puts your position on record with a date.
What it does not do
This letter does not claim a specific sum. Severance and notice are set by the Workers' Rights Act 2019, which juris holds only as first enacted, so juris will not put a figure in your letter.

I do not accept that this was justified. My position is as follows:

I ask you to reply to this letter in writing within 14 days, setting out your position and the basis for it, and to provide me with copies of my contract of employment, my payslips and any document you relied on in reaching this decision.
I am placing this dispute before the Ministry of Labour for conciliation. This letter is sent so that my position is on record.

After sending
