44. Protection from liability
(1) Any person who is entitled under this Act to euthanise or seize any
animal, does so in a reasonable manner and involuntarily wounds or maims
the dog in the course of attempting to do so, shall not incur any civil or criminal liability for the injury done to the dog or its death.
(2) The DVS shall not be held liable for the death of any animal due to
natural cause or caused accidentally during the process of impounding.
