8. Experiment on animal
(1) No person shall perform an experiment unless he is issued with a licence to that effect under subsection (5).
(2) Where a person wishes to perform an experiment, he shall make an
application to the Minister for a licence in such form and manner as may be
prescribed.
(3) The Minister may, on receipt of an application under subsection (2),
require the applicant to furnish such additional information as he considers
necessary.
(4) The Minister may grant or refuse an application made under subsection (2).
(5) Where the Minister grants an application, he shall issue a licence to
the applicant in such form as may be prescribed and, subject to subsection
(6), on such conditions as he may determine.
(6) A licence shall specify the place where the experiment is to be performed.
