53. Offence by financial institution Any financial institution which fails to— (a) comply with section 49, 50 or 51; or (b) furnish, within the time limit specified by the Bank, any information required to satisfy the Bank that it is complying with section 49, 50 or 51, shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 100,000 rupees for each day on which the offence occurs or continues.
