53B. Membership of Review Panel
(1) The Review Panel shall consist of—
(a) a Chairperson, who shall be a barrister of not less than 5 years’
standing and who shall be appointed by the Minister on such
terms and conditions as the Minister may determine;
(b) a Vice-chairperson, who shall be the Solicitor-General or his representative; and
(c) the Financial Secretary or his representative.
(2) (a) The Review Panel may co-opt any person having experience in
the field of financial services, business, accounting or law to assist it in the
discharge of its functions.
(b) A person co-opted under paragraph (a) shall be deemed to be a
member of the Review Panel.
(3) At any sitting of the Review Panel, 2 members shall constitute a
quorum.
(4) The members of the Review Panel shall take the oath of confidentiality set out in the Second Schedule.
