70. Regulations (1) The Minister may— (a) make such regulations as he thinks fit for the purposes of this Act; (b) by regulations, prescribe the offences which shall be compoundable offences for the purposes of section 69; (c) by regulations, amend the Schedules. (2) Any regulations made under this section may— (a) provide for the payment of fees and the levying of charges; and (b) provide that any person who contravenes them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 200,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 3 years. B2 – 31 [Issue 6] Bank of Mauritius Act (3) Notwithstanding subsections (1) and (2), the Bank may, with the approval of the Minister, make regulations for the purpose of section 48.
