139. Trading by undischarged bankrupt
An undischarged bankrupt who—
(a) either alone or jointly with any other person obtains credit to the
extent of 100 rupees or upwards from any person without informing that person that he is an undischarged bankrupt; or
(b) engages or is concerned in any trade or business, or acts as
partner or as agent or representative of a trader, either under his
own name, or under a name other than that under which he was
adjudicated bankrupt, without disclosing to all persons with
whom he enters into any business transaction the fact that he
was adjudicated bankrupt, and the name under which he was so
adjudicated bankrupt,
shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to imprisonment.
