Section 13: Use of computer system

13. Use of computer system (1) Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this Act, the Registrar may authorise— (a) any application or notification required under this Act; (b) the payment of any registration fee; and (c) the performance of any other act or thing which is required to be done under this Act, to be made, notified or done electronically through CBRIS or such other electronic system, and in such manner as the Registrar may approve. (2) The Registrar may, with effect from such date as may be notified in the Gazette, direct that any matter, act or thing referred to in subsection (1) shall be made, notified or done electronically or otherwise. (3) In this section— “CBRIS” has the same meaning as in the Companies Act. [S. 13 amended by s. 6 (d) of Act 9 of 2015 w.e.f. 14 May 2015.]
