Section 21: Regulations

21. Regulations (1) The Minister may make such regulations as he thinks fit for the purposes of this Act. (2) Any regulations made under subsection (1) may provide— (a) for the levying of fees and charges; (b) for the establishment of a geodetic datum for Mauritius; (c) for the manner in which a cadastral survey of a plot of land shall be carried out; (d) for the form and manner in which a plan, memorandum of survey or survey report shall be drawn up; (e) for the allocation of PINs; (f) for the manner in which a survey of a plot of land in Rodrigues or any part of Mauritius other than the Island of Mauritius shall be carried out; and (g) that any person who contravenes them shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 25,000 rupees and to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months.
