46. Permit to construct water works
(1) No person shall, except with the written permission of the Authority,
construct any irrigation works or other water works.
(2) The Authority may, in granting a permission under subsection (1), impose such conditions as it thinks fit.
(3) Any person who contravenes subsection (1) shall commit an offence
and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding 2,000 rupees.
