10. Jurisdiction
(1) Any act or omission which takes place outside Mauritius in an aircraft
registered in Mauritius shall be deemed, for the purposes of civil and criminal
jurisdiction, to have taken place in the district of Port Louis and the law of
Mauritius shall have effect in relation to that act or omission as if it had taken place in Mauritius.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of—
(a) section 114 of the Courts Act; and

Civil Aviation Act
(b) section 72 of the District and Intermediate Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act,
a Magistrate shall have jurisdiction to try all offences and to impose all penalties provided for under this Act.
