19. No marriage before publication
(1) Before a civil marriage may be celebrated, a publication of the intended
marriage shall be made in the office of the district where the marriage is to
take place.
(2) Subject to section 24A, the publication shall also be made in the
office of the district in which each of the parties has resided in Mauritius for
7 days immediately preceding the day of publication.
