8C. Access to CPD
The Registrar of Civil Status shall grant access to
the CPD to –
(a) any Ministry and Government department
in such manner and to such extent as he may
approve;

(b) the Bank of Mauritius for the purpose of
section 52A(1A) and (1B) of the Bank of
Mauritius Act or to facilitate the verification
of the identity of customer through any
other system maintained and operated by the
Bank of Mauritius.
(b) in section 17B –
(i) in subsection (1) –
(A) in paragraph (a) –
(I) by inserting, after the words
“NIC number”, the words “, photograph”;
(II) by deleting the words “and where
applicable, his spouse” and replacing
them by the words “, other than a minor”;
(B) by repealing paragraph (b);
(ii) in subsection (2), by inserting, after the word “Unit”,
the words “established under the Financial Intelligence
and Anti-Money Laundering Act and the Bank of
Mauritius”;
