30. Offences
Any person who—
(a) initiates, manages or conducts, or assists another person in, a
clinical trial in respect of which no trial licence is in force;
(b) for the purposes of this Act, gives information which is false or
misleading;
(c) fails to comply with an order requiring the suspension or termination of a clinical trial;
(d) fails to comply with a term or condition of a trial licence; or
(e) contravenes this Act or any regulations made under it,
shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not
exceeding 500,000 rupees and to penal servitude for a term not exceeding 8
years.
