46. Composition of management
(1) Every society shall have—
(a) a Board;
(b) a President;
(c) a Secretary;
(d) a Treasurer; and
(e) an internal controller.
(2) A society may, in its rules, provide for such other office bearers as it
may determine.
(3) (a) The President shall be appointed by the Board according to the
rules and shall not hold office for a continuous period of more than 3 years.
(b) Where the President has vacated his office prior to the period of
3 years or ceased to hold office following the period of 3 years referred to in
paragraph (a), he shall not be qualified to be appointed to an office in the
society at any time during a period of 12 months preceding the next annual
general meeting of the society.
(4) Where the Treasurer or Secretary is not a director of the Board, the
Treasurer or Secretary may attend a meeting of the Board, but he shall not
have a right to vote.
