56. Revocation of internal controller (1) After taking cognizance of the report of the inspector under section 55 (5) (d), the Registrar may— (a) revoke the internal controller; and (b) appoint a new internal controller at the expense of the society. (2) (a) The internal controller referred to in subsection (1) (b) shall be appointed for a maximum period of 6 months. (b) The Registrar shall cause a general meeting to be held, within the period specified in paragraph (a), for the purpose of appointing a new internal controller in accordance with section 55 (2).
