93. Voluntary dissolution
(1) Subject to subsection (2), a member of a society may apply to the
Registrar for the dissolution of the society.
(2) No application shall be made under subsection (1) unless the member
has obtained the consent in writing of not less than 75 per cent of the total
number of members.
(3) The Registrar shall, on receipt of an application under subsection (1),
appoint an inspector to—
(a) investigate the affairs of the society for the purpose of the
dissolution; and
(b) make an assessment of the value of the assets and liabilities of
the society.
(4) On receipt of the report of the inspector, where the Registrar is
satisfied that the society may be dissolved, he may issue an order directing
the society to be wound up.
