Section 26: Staff of Commission

26. Staff of Commission (1) The Commission may employ on such terms and conditions as it thinks fit, such members of staff as it deems necessary for the proper discharge of the functions of the Commission and of the Executive Director under this Act. (2) Every member of the staff of the Commission shall be under the administrative control of the Executive Director. (3) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the Commission may, with the approval of the Public Service Commission, recruit a public officer. C36A – 11 [Issue 2] Competition Act (4) Where the Commission recruits a public officer under subsection (3), that officer shall be granted leave without pay from his service for the duration of his contract of employment with the Commission.
