30C. Non-payment of fixed penalty
Where a person who has been served with an FPN under
section 30A fails to pay the appropriate fine within the time limit
mentioned in the FPN and criminal proceedings are instituted
against him for the offence in respect of which he was served
with the FPN, he shall, notwithstanding this Act or any other
enactment, be liable, on conviction, to a fine which shall not be
less than twice the fixed penalty in respect of that offence.
(c) in section 31, by inserting, after subsection (1), the following
new subsection –
(1A) The Permanent Secretary may, in respect of the
commission of an offence specified in the Fifth Schedule,
apply for the suspension of the trade licence for a period not
exceeding one month.
(d) in section 35, in subsection (2)(a), by adding the following
new paragraph –
(x) anything which by this Act may or is to be
prescribed;
(e) by adding the Fifth Schedule set out in the First Schedule to
this Act.
