2. Interpretation In this Act— “Authority” means the Central Authority designated under section 4; “Contracting State” means a State in which the Convention is in force, as specified in section 10; “Convention” means the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction signed at The Hague on 25 October 1980, as set out in the First Schedule; “Court” means the Supreme Court; “Ministry” means the Ministry responsible for the subject of child development.
