50. Presiding Judge to sum up case The evidence and arguments at the trial on both sides being closed, the presiding Judge shall, in the presence of the parties, sum up the whole case to the jury, stating where the main question and principal issue lies, commenting on the evidence, and affording such explanations and making such remarks as he thinks necessary for their direction, further stating his opinion on any matter of law arising on the evidence which he may consider to require it.
