14. Duty of Director of Public Prosecutions
(1) The Director of Public Prosecutions shall appear or cause some other
law officer to appear for the State on every appeal to the Court, except so
far as a private prosecutor in the case of a private prosecution undertakes
the defence of the appeal.
(2) Provision shall be made by Rules of Court for the transmission to the
Director of Public Prosecutions of all such documents, exhibits and other
things connected with the proceedings as may be required by the law officer
undertaking the defence of the appeal for the purpose of his duties under
this section.
