190. Flouting writ of habeas corpus
(1) Where a person to whom a writ of habeas corpus is directed under
this Act wilfully neglects to obey it, he shall commit a contempt of Court.
(2) The Court or the Judge may, upon proof made of wilful disobedience
of the writ, issue a warrant to apprehend and bring before him any person
wilfully disobeying the writ and commit him to prison until the writ is
obeyed, and the Court or Judge shall forthwith proceed thereupon and inflict
against such person a fine not exceeding 1,000 rupees.
