7. State and civil action not to be joined
(1) No prosecution at the suit of the State shall be joined with a civil
action, but a private party in whose behalf a prosecution has been instituted
may bring an action for damages in a civil Court against the offender.
(2) The verdict or judgment in the one case shall not be admitted as
evidence in the other.
