26. Retention of documents
Every document required to be obtained or kept under this Act shall be
preserved—
(a) in the case of a register, book or other like record, for 5 years
from the date on which the last entry is made in it; and
(b) in the case of any other document, for 5 years from the date on
which it is issued or made.
