28. Officer to notify his authority
(1) An officer proceeding to arrest without warrant shall, unless the party
intended to be arrested is otherwise acquainted with it, notify his authority.
(2) Such notification is not necessary where the party is in the actual
commission of any offence or where fresh pursuit is made after any such
party who, being discovered, makes his escape.
