Section 14: Maintenance agreements

14. Maintenance agreements (1) Subject to subsection (2), the parties may at any time make an agreement in writing that— (a) either party shall make to the other party periodical payments; (b) either party shall make to any person for the benefit of any child periodical payments, for such term and on such conditions as they think fit. [Issue 3] D17 – 6 Revised Laws of Mauritius (2) Any provision in an agreement made under subsection (1) which purports to restrict the right of any party to apply to the Court for the variation or discharge of the agreement shall be void.
