Section 5: Decision of Authority

5. Decision of Authority (1) The Authority shall, in relation to an application made to it under section 4, communicate its decision to the applicant not later than 3 months— (a) from the date the application was made; or (b) from the date the applicant has submitted any additional information, where such information was required of the applicant, whichever is later. (2) The validity of an application shall not be affected by reason only of the fact that the Authority has failed to communicate its decision within 3 months as provided under subsection (1).
