Section 34: Acceptance of certificate

34. Acceptance of certificate (1) A subscriber shall be deemed to have accepted a certificate where he— (a) publishes or authorises the publication of the certificate— (i) to any other person; or (ii) in a repository; or (b) otherwise demonstrates approval of the certificate while knowing or having notice of its contents. (2) A subscriber referred to in a certificate shall, by accepting a certificate, certify to any person who may rely on the information contained in the certificate that— (a) he rightfully holds the private key corresponding to the public key referred to in the certificate; (b) every representation made by him to the certification authority which is material to the information set out in the certificate are true; and (c) all information in the certificate that is within his knowledge is true.
