44. Production of documents and data The Controller or an authorised officer may— (a) require the production of records, accounts, data and documents kept by a certification authority and inspect, examine and take copies of any of them; (b) require the production of an identification document from any person in relation to any offence under this Act; (c) make such inquiry as may be necessary to ascertain whether this Act has been complied with; and (d) retain, for such period as he considers necessary, any record, account, data or document specified in paragraph (a) or (b).
