37. Notice of termination of agreement
(1) Subject to section 36 (1), a party to an agreement, may, except
where he is prohibited by an enactment from doing so, terminate the agreement on the expiry of a notice given by him to the other party of his intention to terminate the agreement.
(2) The employer shall, at the time of notifying a worker of the termination of his employment, state the reason of such termination.
(3) Notice may be verbal or written and may, subject to subsection (4),
be given at any reasonable time.

(4) Subject to any provision of an agreement, the length of the notice to
be given under subsection (1) shall be of 30 days.
(5) Any party may, in lieu of giving notice of termination of agreement,
pay to the other party the amount of remuneration the worker would have
earned, had he remained in employment during the period of notice.
(6) Subject to section 39B (2), where an employer terminates the
employment of a worker, he shall, on the date of the termination of the
employment, give written notice of that fact to the Permanent Secretary.
