7. Powers of Office
The Office shall have such powers as are necessary or expedient to attain
its objects and discharge its functions most effectively and may, in particular—
(a) set up such technical committees as may be necessary;
(aa) by notice in writing, direct a person responsible for an energy
consumer to submit, in such form and manner as the Office may
approve and within such period as the Office may specify, such
information or document as it considers necessary in relation to
the energy use and consumption of that energy consumer;
(b) do all such other acts or things as may be necessary or desirable
for the attainment of its objects.
