9. Police de l’Environnement
(1) There shall be a Police de l’Environnement.
(2) The Police de l’Environnement shall be a unit of the Mauritius Police
Force comprising of police officers, designated by the Commissioner of Police, who shall have, in addition to any powers under any other enactment,
the powers of an authorised officer under this Act.
(3) The Police de l’Environnement shall provide the Director, and the Island Chief Executive in relation to the Island of Rodrigues, such assistance as
is required to enforce an environmental law.
